Sci-fi Saw

UncleAfx's picture

Created by layering 2 copies of a preset I made from basic samples of my Moog Mother-32.

Creator - UncleAfx

Vendor - Moog Mother-32

Made from my first attempt at sampling my new toy. The Mom32 machine contains the loopable mono preset I made from the original samples. Then I layered it with a clone, added some effects, and started tweaking. Play them individually or play the modular to hear them both.

Hey Uncle, will download this

Comment:

Hey Uncle, will download this and see things in action, as it were, just got into work so, will have squeeze a bit of time sometine later in the day to have a look at it...ok downloaded it, and tried to open it in Guide. Of course I forgot you have to make a new empty template, for the downloaded group file to be brought into, ended up in a bit of a mess with an error file ( which i sent off to Mike) I then remembered abouth th etemplate and tried again, and imported your group file into it fine...back to work now and I will look at it further in the day

So iwas going to edit my littel blunder out, but then thought someone might see it who has done the same thing and it might be helpful. I have sucsessfully downloaded your group file and imported it into a new Template, and then exported it as a caustic file, everything worked fine.

So I documented the steps just as an added help to anyone who may be more text oriented, or to read in conjucture with Mike's video tutorials which are great by the way

  1. Downloaded UncleAfx’s group file from teoti graphix forum
  2. Move file into Guide/Library/Groups
  3. Create New Empty template
  4. Long Press Empty machine Slot No.1
  5. From Options Click Add Machine Group – App automatically navigates to Guide/Library/Groups
  6. Choose file to import into template ( UncleAfx’s downloaded group file ) Keeping all channels & click OK
  7. In Editing View –  click save template file
  8. Click Export as Caustic – navigate to Caustic Songs Folder from Home – click OK
  9. App exports file as a Caustic File into Caustic Song Folder – Returns to Editing View
  10. Open up Caustic and load File – all machines have loaded correctly with all preloaded fx and settings

Yep. :) The other cool thing

Yep. :) The other cool thing you might have missed is the audition keyboard. When you have machines loaded into a template you can select one and tap the audition button at the bottom to open up a keyboard for that machine.
This might be the last of the Moog presets though. I have 3 more sample sessions I could make into presets, but I traded the Moog in for a Korg Minilogue after just a week. It was a nice little affair but it had to end. But that's another story.
